If you missed this round but want to sign up for the next session, fill out this Google Form to help me gauge what days would be best to offer each workshop. You’ll also receive an email as soon as they launch so you won’t miss out!

THESE WORKSHOPS WILL BE BACK SOON. ✿

Photography Basics: This photography workshop is designed to encourage anybody who’s excited about photography, regardless of your experience! Each week, we will cover some photography basics: exposure, lighting, composition, and perspective. We will start each week unpacking some basic concepts to get you confident and comfortable in your image-making ability, and then we will dive in to a short assignment designed to help make those lessons more tangible. The class will end with an optional homework assignment that allows you to take the skills learned and apply them to a personal project of your choice. Each week, participants will have the option to share their outside work in the beginning of class.
MONDAYS in August & September, 6:30pm – 8:30pm (8/23, 8/30, 9/13, 9/20) *week of 9/6 skipped for labor day weekend

Photography Project Workshop: This will be a compassionate space where participants will be challenged to listen to themselves, trust their eyes, and make cool work! This session will help you work through any ideas that you have, whether you're brand new to photography and testing out your eye, building out an idea for a new project, or sequencing existing images into a final project. You do not have to have a project in mind (or a professional camera) to participate; the only prerequisites are curiosity and a device that takes photos (phones, polaroids, 35mm cameras, digital cameras: all are welcome!) The goal will be to come away with a body of work you’re excited to share, but there is no pressure to produce; if all you take away is a better understanding of your own vision, that’s huge. Together we will create a warm, inviting, enthusiastic, and curious space where we will shed our insecurities, ask questions, and put ourselves (and our work) into the world. All skill levels welcome!
WEDNESDAYS in August & September, 5:00 – 7:00pm (8/18, 8/25, 9/1, 9/15) *week of 9/8 skipped – extra time allotted for individual work on project

Creativity Workshop: This one is a little more ~feelings~ oriented. :) YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE AN ARTIST TO PARTICIPATE (just an curiosity and openness to your creative desires) Each week, we’ll work through a different creative prompt designed to help us unblock the walls and stories we have about ourselves that keep us from working toward our creative desires. Our 2 hours together each week will be spent working on a short creative prompt* around the theme of the week, discussing the theme and what came up for us during the prompts, responding to each other in a curious and open conversation (learning from each other and allowing the session to be a soft landing point for big ideas), and ending the session with an optional homework assignment to help unpack the lessons of the session throughout the following week. * creative prompts are designed to be open-ended to bring up whatever needs to come up in your body, mind, hands, etc. I will provide guided options, but you can respond to the prompt with any creative task that feels good to you at the time. This workshop is really meant to tap into YOU & your creative brain.
SUNDAYS in August & September, 11:00am – 1:00pm (8/22, 8/29, 9/5, 9/12)
